A. Definition of Simple Future Tense

Simple future tense is a tense to describe an event that has not started and will occur in the future. The sentence in the simple future tense can be characterized by the use of the words will, shall, and going to. Simple future tense is also used to express a prediction or desire. (Simple future tense merupakan tenses untuk menjelaskan suatu peristiwa yang belum mulai dan akan terjadi di masa yang akan datang. Kalimat pada simple future tense dapat ditandai dengan penggunaan kata will, shall, dan going to. Simple future tense juga digunakan untuk menyatakan suatu prediksi atau keinginan.)

B. Formula of Simple Future Tense

In the simple future tense sentence, the root verb (V1) will be followed by a modal auxilary will or the phrase modal be going to. Consider the simple future tense formula below:

(+)	Subject+will/shall+V1+Object
	Subject + to be (am/is/are) going to + V1
(-)	Subject+will/shall+not+ V1+Object
	Subject + to be (am/is/are) + not + going to + V1
(?)	Will/shall+Subject+V1+Object
	To be (am/is/are) + Subject + going to + V1

Example of Simple Future Tense Affirmative

1. They will take school examination next month.
2. Joko will take public speaking class tomorrow.
3. Jayanto is going to move to his new house next week.
4. Doni is going to finish her homework tonight.
5. I am going to take english class at Wall Street English next monday.
6. The president of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, will visit Irian Jaya next week.
7. Wandi is going to give birth next friday.
8. Rere will take another flight, because her current flight have an accident.
9. Luki will join Digital Marketing competition at USA tomorrow.
10. Ganesh is going to go to party after her job is finish.
